Come As You Are

Just random thoughts, things I think are funny or things that make me angry. For whoever cares to read it.

Name:
Location: Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, Canada

Statisically single but in a long term relationship with a really great guy. Still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, so I'm just working to pay the bills right now. Grew up on the farm small town style, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Lloydminster bugs me.

    Getting Close!!!

Well these past 5 months since we booked our trip sure have gone fast, a lot faster than I expected them too. Then again we' ve had a lot going on, moving, car shopping, so I guess keeping busy helped the time fly by. Now were' down to a very small countdown ( I only started officially counting down on March 1st). Just 9 days from tomorrow we'll be off to Cuba!! I also look at it in a different way too, I only have 5 days of work left!!!

Half the fun of this has been the aniticipation, shopping for summer clithes, awaiting the arrival of our tickets, getting our passports ....it's all been so much fun! I know we'll be going on other trips in the future but I honestly can't say that we'll have as much fun getting ready for those ones as we have had for this one. I guess that's because it's really our first trip like this together.....my first trip out of Canada since I was 10, lol. Other trips will be fun for sure, but I think this one will still have the most excitement. Looking forward to this trip reminds me of Christmas, you look forward to it every year and you want it to hurry up and get here, but at the same time you don't because then it'll be here and gone before you know it. For me most of the fun of Christmas is in the preparation for it, buying gifts, decorating, just the whole spirit of the season. Same thing with travelling counting the days, picking up things you'll need, researching your destination, it's all part of it.

I'm glad we have had these few months to enjoy this, it really has been a blast so far for both of us and I'm sure it's jsut the beginning of our Cuba experience yet to come when we actually get there. I think next week will go pretty fast, we'll be very busy tying up loose ends before we go and I'll be busy packing, then re-packing, the re-packing again.....lol. That will be my challenge I think, not knowing what I want to take. The morning of our flight we have to be out the door heading to the airport by 4 am!!! Meaning we have to be up out of bed by at least 3:30!! How much do you want to bet I won't even sleep, lol. At least I know there's a Timmy's at the airport and I guess I can always sleep on the plane, we do have a nice little 6 hour flight ahead of us.

So in case I don't get a chance to get on here again, wish me luck, I'll be thinking of all of you back here in winterland :) I'm sure I'll have a nice long post with some pics when I get back...and hopefully a nice tan (not a burn) too. TTFN!!!
