Come As You Are

Just random thoughts, things I think are funny or things that make me angry. For whoever cares to read it.

Name:
Location: Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, Canada

Statisically single but in a long term relationship with a really great guy. Still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, so I'm just working to pay the bills right now. Grew up on the farm small town style, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Lloydminster bugs me.

    Job Search On Hold....For Now

Ok, so I have decided to hold off on my agressive search for a new job. Which is okay by me because there isn't really anything out there right now anyway, nothing that would be worth it really. I came to the realization today that in less than 2 short months I'll be heading to Cuba (well actually by this exact time I should be IN Cuba :D) So I'm thinking it might not sound too great when I have to tell a potential employer "Yes I would love to come work for you...oh by the way I have 7 days vaction coming up shortly" So I'll stick it out here at least until we get back, hopefully there will be some good opportunites open at that time. I'm still going to keep an eye open though in case some super amazing job comes up that I'd nevr forgive myself for passing up......but we all know how often that happens, lol.

    PS I hate being responsable.

    Ch-Changes

Ok so I'm still at my same borning job. However, lately there have been a couple of changes that just may be enough to keep me here a bit longer, hehe. For starters, I got a raise, I mean a real raise not that joke of a 1% raise they gave me last year, but a whole 6%!!! Basically it works out to about an extra $50 on my paycheck, yay. It's better than a kick in the ass, as I usually say. Plus I had this really boring and repetitive task I had to do for the payroll dept., it sucked I hated it. I had to come in to work every frickin long week end to do this. So now they have changed their payroll system and I don't have to do it anymore!!!! I guess there's a bit of a down side to it though, they gave me a brand new boring repetitive task to do, but at least I won't have to work long week ends anymore! I guess that's how it works, every cloud has a silver lining :) I am still keeping my eyes open for other opportunities that may arise, never hurts to look.

    Five Wierd Things About Me......

So Kim tagged me with this, blog taggy thingy, I guess the only people I can tag woule be Nevada and Chester, unless some one got to them first, lol. Anway, five wierd things about me (only 5 of the many)

!. I am deathly afraid of moths!! (I hate all bugs, but they are the worst) Yes that's right tiny little harmless moths......I don't know how it started or why, all I know is those little f-ers target me and attack every chance they get! Yet I've carried a 9 ft snake around my neck, would dive in front of a bus to save a lizard or a frog, but I'll sit outside in any kind of weather if there is a moth on the door.

    2. In relation to number 1., I am a big fan of frogs and lizards, I think they're cute!! In fact I'm in the works of getting a frilled dragon this year, the hardest part will being having to feed him crickets once a week, which brings us back to wierd thing number 1.

    3. My favorite sandwich is cream cheese and olives, mmmmmm, I want one right now. :)

    4. Claymation totally freaks me out!! I don't know what it is, I just find it really freaky, almost scary.

    5. I'm a closet nerd, I have an ongoing subscription to National Geographic, I'm obsessed with anything that has to do with archeology or ancient history, I enjoy a good book, and I want to actually visit Middle Earth, how cool would that be??!!!

There you have it, 5 and only 5 wierd things about me, there are wierder things....but I'd be best not to share those with anyone, lol. TAG, Nevada and Chester!!

    Moved

Well it took 2.5 days between Christmas and New Years but we got everything moved from both of our places into our new place. I think the plan for next time is to hire movers.......no matter what the cost! I just don't think I can handle that again, it was just too much. Plus I think I've used up all of my "Dad will help you move for free cards" LOL. Now it's just a matter of sorting through all the clutter to try and get some sort of organization going. I'm sure it'll likely take us at least a month until we get fully settled in there. You know what it's like in a new place, it takes you awhile to figure out where you want to put stuff, then you have all tht miscellaneous stuff you really have no place for. Oh well I'm sure we'll be making a few drop offs at the old Thrift Store before we're done, which is good, because I'd rather do that than throw something away, or in my case leave it sitting untouched in a box for another two years. It's a really nice place, with way more room than my other place had, it'll be even more awesome once we get everything set up and organized. So I hope that some of you will come and visit now that I'll have a whole other bedroom, with a bed in it and everything. Not sure how long we'll stay in this place, but I do know one thing, I swear next time I move it'll be into a house for sure renting gets old really fast. And I want to get a doggy. :)
