Good Ol' Saskatoon
This past weekend we decided to do something different and went to Saskatoon for the week end. Last Christmas I got a Travelodge gift certificate so I figured that I'd better use it at least before this Christmas, lol. I hadn't been to Saskatoon in about two years so I was really looking forward to it. I called up my cousin Nate and his girlfriend Sandra and we went out for supper and then saw their new place (which is awesome by the way), Saturday, went swimming, which isn't nearly as fun as it used to be when I was a kid, went out for supper and drinks with some friends, Sunday, went to Costco with my Aunt for a bit, then....just went home. Honestly if it weren't for being able to visit some relatives and friends Saskatoon would have been really boring. Shopping was pretty much useless as we can go to all the exact same stores in Edmonton and save the tax. Although, I think if it had been summer there would have been a lot more to do outdoors, but when the weather sucks there really is nothing to do there. I'm not saying that I'm never going back there, but I think I'll plan my next trip there for the spring or summer, Saskatoon is a very scenic city, it's just a lot nicer to see it in the summer.
